A perfect conclusion! The two-day BlueSAO Bionic THR training course at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine has successfully concluded!

The second day of UC Davis courses has begun! Today is also the last day of the Baidu UC Davis total hip replacement course. Classes start very early every day, and this morning, the professors and all the doctors arrived before 7:30. I really admire their dedication! In the twenty minutes before the class started, several doctors were very interested in our new press-fit biological PGR system! Under the guidance of Professors Chen Weili and Jia Xinsheng, each person completed the practical operation on the bone model in ten minutes. Everyone exclaimed that this system is amazing, making PGR surgery simpler and more reliable!

The 7:50 AM class started on time. First, Dr. Lu and Prof. Denis shared their experiences in managing patients after hip replacement surgery and discussed postoperative complications. After the lecture, Prof. Denis, Prof. Chou, Dr. Lu, and Dr. Zhou Luoping interpreted and commented on the X-rays that the students practiced on yesterday. It was very gratifying to see that the vast majority of students performed exceptionally well!

Unknowingly, the morning's classes came to an end. The first class in the afternoon was taught by Dr. Zhou Luoping from China 🇨🇳. This was the first time that a Chinese small animal orthopedics lecturer stood on the UC Davis podium, teaching the biomimetic hip joint system invented by Dr. Zhou himself, which was unanimously recognized and praised by professors and attending doctors from across the United States! Feeling proud of Chinese veterinarians!

Before the afternoon hands-on session begins, a precious and unforgettable group photo is a must. During the two days of intense and enthusiastic learning, everyone has built deep friendships with each other! Let's remember this wonderful moment together!

The practical session this afternoon was much faster than yesterday because, after practicing the day before, the doctors were already quite familiar with BlueSAO bionic hip joint system, making the procedure much smoother! The post-operative evaluation results were also very satisfactory. After the course ended, cleaning, drying, organizing, and packing all the instruments involved a huge amount of work. The BlueSAO team instructors and colleagues worked together, and their level of professionalism greatly impressed the faculty and staff of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine! Prof. Denis and two other main instructors specially came to the operating room to express their gratitude to us! We are also very grateful for the trust and support of the UC Davis instructors in BlueSAO !

The two-day UC Davis-BlueSAO Bionic Hip Replacement Training successfully concluded at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Continuing Education Center!

All participating doctors in this course will receive continuing education credits.

This is the first hip replacement training at UC Davis!
