Treatment of old neck of femur fracture in cats
Mengtai,
a 2.2kg British Shorthair cat, has been limping on his right hind leg for about
half a year. X-ray examination revealed an old fracture of the right femoral
neck, and in addition, the shortening of the femur caused medial patellar
luxation. Femoral neck fracture can cause severe pain and hind limb
dysfunction. The best treatment option is a hip replacement surgery.
