THR Surgery of Bilateral Femoral Neck Fracture in a Maine Coon Cat by Dr. Tao Weifu from Hangzhou Hongtai Pet Hospital

A maine coon cat, nickname: Soba, 2 years old, male, 7kg, suffered from bilateral femoral neck fracture. After examination, we decided to perform a THR surgery on the cat’s right femoral neck first. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ10mm cemented cup, a #3 femoral stem, and a φ8mm (+0) femoral head of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Hip Replacement System for replacement. Considering that the cat had recovered well 38 days after undergoing surgery on the right femoral neck, the decision was made to carry out a THR surgery on the left femoral neck.
