20240826- [Rupture of Cranial Cruciate Ligament + Patellar Luxation] A Poodle, Fixed with TPLO-S System for Internal Fixation Successfully

A poodle, 8 years old, female, 4.6kg, suffered from a lameness in the right hind limb for two weeks or so. The examination of the visit on 07/31/2024 at our hospital revealed that this dog had a Grade IV medial patellar luxation of the right hind limb with a positive drawer test; and a Grade III patellar luxation of the left hind limb. Based on this, we decided to perform a tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO) for the dog. We fixed the right hind limb with BlueSAO TPLO-5.5mm R-type pure titanium locking plate, and performed a patellar groove deepening + tibial transverse transport tool (TTTT) surgery for the left hind limb. The surgery was completed successfully. This dog was able to walk normally two weeks after surgery, with no patellar re-luxation. Best wishes for an early recovery.
