A Bernese mountain dog, 7 months old, male, 35kg,suffered from bilateral hip dysplasia, which resulted in weak hind limbs and severe muscle atrophy. As such, we decided to perform a THR surgery on his more severe right side first. Intraoperatively, a φ29mm bionic cup, a φ24mm PEEK femoral head, a #8 biological stem, and an M+3 femoral neck of BlueSAO BionicHip Joint System were adopted for replacement, and we were honored to invite Zhou Luoping, the inventor of the Bionic Hip Joint System to perform the replacement surgery with us.
