Case 312: A Clinical Case Sharing of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System in a Rottweiler by Dr. Lee Yew Hong from Malaysia

A rottweiler, nickname: Backie, 1 year and 5 months old, female, 34.5kg,suffered from right hip dysplasia and dorsal luxation of femoral head. As such, we decided to perform a hip replacement surgery on this dog in February 2025. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the surgery by using a φ27mm bionic acetabular cup, a φ22mm PEEK femoral head, a #7 biological femoral stem, and an M+3 femoral neck of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog recovered well after the surgery. It could walk freely 36 hours after the surgery. Best wishes for an early recovery.
