A Pomeranian dog, nickname: Huahua, 4 years old, female, 3.3kg,suffered from lameness caused by bilateral patellar luxation in 2023, and had recovered from 4T surgery. At the end of March this year, she developed lameness in her right hind limb and was seen for suspected recurrent patellar luxation. Examination revealed no luxation of the patella and a rupture of cranial cruciate ligament was diagnosed. As such, she was brought in for TPLO surgery on April 1st.
Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet, and the dog's ligament was fixed with TPLO-Mini System - 4mm R-type pure titanium locking plate for internal fixation. The surgery was completed successfully. This dog was discharged from the hospital on day 5 post-op after the first 2 days of surgery when the affected limb was not on the ground, and on day 3 when the right hind limb was actively supported for walking. Best wishes for an early recovery.
