A Shiba Inu, 1 year old, male, 7kg,suffered from bilateral hip dysplasia, joint laxity, dorsal luxation, and bilateral patellar luxation and underwent a left hip replacement in January. This time (in May), a hip replacement was performed on his right hip this time. Intraoperatively, we also adopted BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement System for replacement. A φ15mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ12mm+0 femoral head, and a #2 cemented femoral stem were used as implants. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
As one of the core principles of medical ethics, "First Do No Harm" emphasizes that medical actions should prioritize avoiding physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical procedure must cause minimal damage to small animals.
There are always specific or special cases at any time, but we must never take these as the general treatment principles. We strive for clean total hip replacements with the least possible surgical damage and work hard to achieve pain-free joints for small animals.
