Bichon Frise, nickname: Fugui, 2 years old, male (unneutered), weighing 1.9Kg (mini).
Due to atlantoaxial subluxation, hip dysplasia, and ventral dislocation of the right hip joint, paralysis occurred. It was decided that after atlantoaxial fixation and fusion, hip replacement surgery would be performed. During the operation, the BlueSAObionicMicro bone cement hip joint system was used for replacement. The implant selection included: 11mm PEEK bone cement acetabular cup, 8mm+2 femoral head, and #1 bone cement femoral stem. The operation was successfully completed. The tenacious and brave little guy is gradually recovering, and his gait is becoming more and more ideal. Hope torecover soon!
"First do no harm" is one of the core principles of medical ethics, emphasizing that medical behavior should give priority to avoid physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical process must be to cause smaller damage to small animals.
There are specific/special cases at any time, but specific/special cases must never be used as a universal treatment principle. We pursue clean total hips, pursue surgery for all minimal injuries, and strive for painless joints of small animals!
