Shiba Inu, nickname: Fudou, 3.5 years old, male, body weight 14 kg.
Lameness appeared in September 2025. On palpation, bilateral medial patellar luxation with right hip joint subluxation was found. About 3 months after patellar luxation surgery, the right hind limb still had lameness. The owner chose to perform hip joint replacement surgery.
Before the surgery, BlueSAO iBlueVet software was used for precise surgical planning. During the surgery, the BlueSAO Micro Biomimetic Bone Cement-Type Hip Joint System was used for replacement. The implants selected were: 17 mm PEEK bone cement-type acetabular cup, 12 mm +0 femoral head, and #3 bone cement-type femoral stem.
The surgery was successfully completed. After waking up from anesthesia, the affected limb could support activity by itself. On the first day, the gait returned to normal. On the 10th day, there was slowly no obvious abnormality, and the stitches were removed and the patient went home!
BlueSAO hip joint replacement system: ergonomically cast stem process, not 3D-printed stem! With the test of time, it is safer and more reliable!
