BlueSAO·Spain's first THR training day wraps up successfully!

Today, July 13th, BlueSAO held its first small animal total hip replacement (THR) training course in Spain. The course took place at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University Veterinary School, located in the beautiful coastal city of Valencia.  

This course was jointly organized by BlueSAO and the CEU University Veterinary School. The president of CEU University Valencia campus and the dean of the Veterinary School gave warm opening speeches for the THR training session!  

A total of 40 people attended the training, including faculty and staff from CEU Veterinary School and doctors from across Spain, as well as from Mexico, Costa Rica, and Argentina.

The four instructors for this course come from three countries: Dr. Brian Beale from the USA, Dr. Zhou Luoping and Dr. Chen Weili from China, and Dr. Tmas Guerrero from Switzerland. In the morning, Dr. Brian Beale and Dr. Zhou Luoping taught the THR theory class.

Lunch was at the CEU University Veterinary School cafeteria, where everyone chatted casually and the atmosphere was pleasant. After a short meal, Professors Brian and Zhou continued the theoretical lessons for everyone.

Today's theory class is over, and next up is the preoperative planning course. The attending doctors are using the internationally popular Vpop and BaiLu's self-developed iBlueVet preoperative planning software to carefully plan the surgery for tomorrow's hands-on wet lab.

After the pre-surgery planning course, we came to today's last class～THR dry hands-on practice. Everyone walked from the theory classroom to the Animal Teaching Hospital at CEU University Veterinary School, where the dry hands-on session took place. 

First, teachers Zhou Luoping and Tmas gave a teaching demonstration together, and then the group hands-on practice began. The teachers guided us carefully, and the doctors practiced seriously, creating a super focused learning atmosphere!
