A maine coon cat, 2 years old, male, 8.7kg, suffered from bilateral hip dysplasia and lameness. As such, we decided to perform a hip replacement on his left hip first on January 18, 2024. Recently, his right leg appears lameness. As such, we decided to perform THR on his right hip.

Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ13mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ10mm+0 femoral head, and a #3 stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Joint Systemfor replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. Immediate postoperative luxation testing showed stable results, and the cat is recovering quickly thanks to the minimal damage from this surgery.
