Case 330: A Clinical Case Sharing of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement System in a Shiba Inu by Dr. Luo Yusheng from Guangzhou YY Veterinary Hospital

A Shiba Inu, 2 years and 5 months old, male, 13kg,suffered from pain and lameness due to bilateral hip degenerative lesion as well as luxation and wear of the left femoral head. As such, we decided to perform a hip replacement surgery on this dog. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ15mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ12mm+0 femoral head, and a #3 cemented femoral stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement System for replacement. The surgery was successfully completed. The dog regained motor function very quickly after the surgery, and its review 4 months after the surgery did not show that it was a surgically operated leg at all.
