A bulldog, nickname: Dudu, 3 years old, male, 11kg,suffered from the right femoral head luxation due to trauma for more than 2 months. After multiple consultations, the owner learned that total hip replacement is superior to femoral head resection surgery, thus deciding to have the dog undergo a hip replacement surgery at Hefei Zhongshan Animal Hospital.

Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ15mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ12mm+4 femoral head, and a #3 cemented femoral stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog recovered quickly, able to bear weight on the second day after the surgery and walked normally on the third day.

As one of the core principles of medical ethics, "First Do No Harm" emphasizes that medical actions should prioritize avoiding physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical procedure must cause minimal damage to small animals.

There are always specific or special cases at any time, but we must never take these as the general treatment principles. We strive for clean total hip replacements with the least possible surgical damage and work hard to achieve pain-free joints for small animals.
