A poodle, nickname: Guoguo, 11 months old, female (unneutered), 3.3kg,was diagnosed with avascular necrosis of femoral head of the right hind limb due to lameness of the right hind limb. As such, we decided to perform a hip replacement surgery on this dog.

Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ13mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ10mm+4 femoral head, and a #1.5 cemented femoral stem of BlueSAO Micro Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog was able to walk normally on the third day after the surgery and has shown a good recovery.

As one of the core principles of medical ethics, "First Do No Harm" emphasizes that medical actions should prioritize avoiding physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical procedure must cause minimal damage to small animals.

There are always specific or special cases at any time, but we must never take these as the general treatment principles. We strive for clean total hip replacements with the least possible surgical damage and work hard to achieve pain-free joints for small animals.
