A maine coon cat, 1 year old, female, 7.25kg,suffered from slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) of the right femoral head. As such, we decided to perform a hip replacement surgery on this cat. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ11mm PEEK cemented cup, a φ8mm+0 femoral head, and a #3 stem of BlueSAO Micro Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.

As one of the core principles of medical ethics, "First Do No Harm" emphasizes that medical actions should prioritize avoiding physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical procedure must cause minimal damage to small animals.

There are always specific or special cases at any time, but we must never take these as the general treatment principles. We strive for clean total hip replacements with the least possible surgical damage and work hard to achieve pain-free joints for small animals.
