Case 468: Dr. Yuan from Chongqing Rufeier Animal Hospital – Hip Joint Replacement with BlueSAO Micro Biomimetic Bone Cement-Type Hip Joint!

Schnauzer, nickname: Caimi, 6 years old, male, body weight 9.6 kg.

Recently, while playing, the dog was hit by a large dog, resulting in left hip joint luxation and lameness. The owner decided to perform hip joint replacement surgery. Before the surgery, BlueSAO iBlueVet software was used for precise surgical planning. During the surgery, the BlueSAO Micro Biomimetic Bone Cement-Type Hip Joint System was used for replacement. The implants selected were: 15 mm PEEK bone cement-type acetabular cup, 12 mm +0 femoral head, and #3 bone cement-type femoral stem. The surgery was successfully completed. On the first day after surgery, normal walking was restored, and the patient was discharged home on the fifth day after surgery!
