Border Collie, nickname: Lychee, 2 years old, female, weight 14.5 Kg.
Due to fighting with other dogs while out for a walk, itdeveloped a limp. Itwent to the hospital for treatment. It was discovered thatitsfemoral head was dislocated and itship joint was underdeveloped. Itreceived conservative treatment and then the other side also experienced a dislocation. The owner decided to first remove the dislocated side and perform a hip joint replacement surgery on the other side. After the surgery, itrecovered normally. The hip dislocation surgery was performed one month after the dislocation occurred.
The BlueSAOBionic hip joint system was used for the replacement during the operation. The implants included:21mm bionic acetabular cup, 16mm PEEK femoral head, #5biological femoral stem, and M+3 femoral neck. The surgery was completed successfully. We hope for a speedy recovery!
