Cat, nickname: Cookie, 1 year and 3 months old, female, body weight 3 kg.
Poor hip joint development caused left hip joint subluxation and lameness, so it was decided to perform hip joint replacement treatment. Because Cookie’s skeleton was relatively small, the BlueSAO Nano Bone Cement-Type Hip Joint System was used for hip joint replacement.
The implants selected during the surgery were: 10 mm bone cement-type acetabular cup and #2 (+2) integrated bone cement-type femoral stem. The surgery was successfully completed. On the first day after surgery, the affected limb could already stand with weight-bearing, and the recovery was excellent!
Special thanks to Teacher Zhou Yiping from Shanghai Baicui Animal Hospital for bringing the clinical case sharing of the BlueSAO Nano Bone Cement-Type Hip Joint System!
